• Personally handled all IT for the practice.
• Handled patient disputes, staff disputes, billing disputes and guidelines.
• Ensured practice compliance with applicable regulations (primarily labor, OSHA, HIPAA).
• Ensured practice compliance with health insurance and service provider contracts. Helped facilitate entering into and renewal of said contracts.
• Frequently covered the receptionist position, sometimes helped clinical staff navigate complex insurance denials and guidelines. Extensive experience working directly with patients, medical providers, medical records, medical terminology, medical insurers, electronic records, and paper records.
• Personally trained new receptionists and even clinical staff to develop work flows and become acclimated to our practice. Developed a general understanding of every non-clinical aspect of the business (everything except the practice of medicine itself).
